In Thai Nguyen City, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" (Movement) has become a large movement, attracting the participation of many people from all walks of life. In the past 5 years, on average, 96% of households; hamlets, residential groups; agencies and above have met cultural criteria/year. In 2023 alone, the city will have 82,172/84,150 cultural households, reaching nearly 98%; 400/401 hamlets, residential groups, reaching 99.75%; 96.5% of agencies, units and enterprises meeting cultural standards.

To ensure the quality of the Movement, residential areas have proactively organized many propaganda activities to disseminate the contents of the activities to the people; mobilized people to properly implement the conventions and village and residential group regulations; actively participated in environmental sanitation activities, contributed to the construction of cultural facilities, sports grounds and participated in activities at clubs according to their interests.
In evaluating cultural family criteria, the city promotes the spirit of democracy, openness, transparency, and no favoritism. At the end of the year, each family scores its own participation in implementing the Movement criteria, then the residential front committee reviews. The results of each household's participation are listed and posted in front of the cultural house for people to refer to and contribute their opinions.
Mr. Ngo Duc Khanh, Head of Residential Group 10, Phan Dinh Phung Ward, said: The residential group has 287 households, 100% of which have registered to participate in building cultural families and cultural residential groups. From participating in the Movement, people are more excited to participate in social activities, including contributing to building infrastructure, building flower roads and participating in activities at cultural, artistic and sports clubs...
Mr. Dong Minh Ton, 91 years old, a member of Quang Trung Ward Sports and Physical Education Club, excitedly said: Every day, cultural, artistic and sports clubs maintain their activities. Thanks to that, we meet each other every day, share, sympathize, and know who is sick or in difficulty, so we can visit them promptly.
Flexible deployment and implementation in accordance with reality, in recent years the Movement Steering Committee has linked the criteria and implementation content with the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". The connection has quickly created a beautiful lifestyle in the community.
Relevant levels and functional agencies have actively participated and been proactive in organizing propaganda and conveying the content of the Movement and Campaign to the people, such as: Organizing thematic conferences; propagating with billboards, posters, leaflets, banners, cultural and artistic activities, and sports.
Every year, the core team of the Movement, including leaders; cultural and social officials of communes and wards, and heads of the residential front work committees, participate in professional training courses on the management of cultural and sports institutions and the organization of grassroots cultural and sports activities. Thanks to that, the level, capacity, and skills of propaganda, mobilization, and organization for people to participate in the Movement of the team of professional staff are constantly improved.
In 2023, the Steering Committee of the Movement reviewed, surveyed the current situation, and made a plan to support the construction of 86 new cultural houses in hamlets and residential groups; and supported the repair, upgrading, and expansion of 214 cultural houses in hamlets and residential groups. In 2024, residential groups 14 of Quang Trung Ward received support from the city to build cultural houses with an amount of 250 million VND. Currently, 100% of communes and wards in the city have cultural - sports centers; cultural houses; multi-purpose halls; community learning centers. In residential areas, there are 350 badminton courts, 58 swimming pools, 990 training grounds, and 383 regularly operating sports and fitness clubs.
