In fact, OCOP products meet quality and food safety standards and regulations; have diverse designs and packaging and are environmentally friendly, gradually affirming their value and quality in the market, and gaining the trust of the people. In particular, many OCOP products have been selected as gifts in conferences and foreign affairs events of the Central and localities.
Ms. Nong Thi Nguyet, residential group 6, Thinh Dan ward (Thai Nguyen city) said: I really trust in using OCOP products because they have been assessed and evaluated by functional agencies in the province. Not only do they have beautiful designs, OCOP products are assessed to ensure food hygiene and safety, protecting the health of consumers.
It can be affirmed that as people's awareness of food safety increases, the position of OCOP products is also enhanced. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Head of the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development, said: After nearly 5 years of implementation, with the motto of not chasing quantity, paying special attention to the quality and reputation of the products, the work of evaluating and classifying OCOP products in the province is carried out publicly and transparently, ensuring compliance with regulations. Every year, there is a report on the results of the work of evaluating and classifying OCOP products, thereby summarizing the advantages, and at the same time pointing out the shortcomings and limitations in the work of evaluating and classifying OCOP products of localities.
It is worth mentioning that in order for OCOP products to be known to consumers, departments, branches and localities in the province have coordinated to organize many activities to create conditions for OCOP entities to have the opportunity to display, introduce and promote products. For example, the activities include: Organizing a week to introduce "The quintessence of tea culture in Ca Mau province", "Tourism and OCOP product connection festival at Hai Dang Rest Stop; Creating and digitizing agricultural and rural tourism spots; popularizing and improving the experience of people and consumers about digital technology platforms applied in e-commerce. At the same time, training skills and directly guiding OCOP entities on setting up accounts and doing business on famous e-commerce platforms in Vietnam such as Shoppe, Lazada, Tiki, social networks Facebook, TiTok, etc.
Currently, Thai Nguyen has 195 tea products evaluated and classified according to OCOP standards from 3 to 5 stars. |
In addition, the relevant authorities and departments also built the Thai Nguyen OCOP Website to digitize the management, evaluation, ranking and promotion of Thai Nguyen province's OCOP products. In addition, trade promotion activities for products certified as 3-star and 4-star OCOP products were organized on the multimedia system. After a not-so-long journey, the “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) Program in Thai Nguyen has had a strong influence. (1 product achieving 5 stars); 57 products are types including spices, beverages, handicrafts, garments, fresh, raw, pre-processed foods and 2 OCOP tourism service products (1 product achieving 5 stars) with 176 subjects. |
