The purpose of the trip is to strengthen the strategic partnership, promote technology transfer and seek sustainable development opportunities in the agricultural sector between the two countries. Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group, accompanied Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien on this working trip.
Mr. Vu Manh Hung shared: “Cooperation with the Netherlands not only creates conditions for Vietnam’s agricultural sector to access the world’s leading modern technologies but also opens up opportunities for sustainable development through the construction of an effective value chain. This is an important foundation to help improve production quality, enhance competitiveness and contribute to the overall development of the industry.”
One of the typical examples of this effective cooperation is the DHN project chain jointly implemented by Hung Nhon Group and De Heus (Netherlands). DHN projects such as DHN Gia Lai, DHN Dak Lak, DHN Lam Dong , DHN Tay Ninh... are projects with high-tech livestock models designed to meet Global GAP and ISO standards.
The barn systems in the farms are equipped with modern equipment from leading corporations in the poultry farming sector. The projects integrate advanced technology in all stages, from farm management, disease control to optimizing production processes, while applying green technology to minimize environmental impacts, save resources and ensure animal welfare, creating a sustainable livestock ecosystem. Because the projects are all aiming for a green economic model and the Government's Net Zero target by 2050.
During the trip, the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment had many outstanding activities: - Talks with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Netherlands, Jean Rummeni. This is an opportunity for the two sides to discuss in depth the direction of cooperation in the fields of high-tech agriculture, supply chain management and sustainable development. - Attending the Vietnam - Netherlands Agricultural Cooperation, Investment and Trade Seminar, with the participation of Dutch enterprises, associations and investors. The seminar is an opportunity to connect trade, access advanced technology and increase the value of Vietnam's agricultural product chain. - Participate in the GreenTech Amsterdam 2025 exhibition. Meet with Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister of Research and Innovation Abdulaziz Almalik. The working trip of the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment not only contributes to strengthening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Netherlands but also opens up new opportunities for Vietnam to access high-tech solutions, increase the value of agricultural products and promote sustainable development. The trip also affirms Vietnam's positive role on the global agricultural map, towards the goal of green and sustainable development in the future.
With the achievements gained from the strategic partnership, Vietnam expects to continue to receive support from the Netherlands in areas such as livestock, crop cultivation and water management. These efforts will not only enhance the position of Vietnam’s agriculture but also contribute to environmental protection, ensuring food security and sustainable socio-economic development.
