( Quang Ngai Newspaper) - Based on the effectiveness of attracting investment and developing industry from the VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park project (Tinh Phong commune, Son Tinh), VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited continues to implement the project of investing in construction and business of infrastructure of VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park.
The project was approved by the Prime Minister on December 22, 2023, with an area of nearly 498 hectares and a total investment of VND 3,737 billion; implemented in Binh Thanh and Binh Hiep communes (Binh Son), in Dung Quat Economic Zone. Currently, the investor is carrying out procedures for detailed planning at a scale of 1/500; surveying and marking to serve compensation, support and resettlement; preparing environmental impact assessment reports, design, fire prevention and fighting, and registering construction permits for technical infrastructure works.

VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited proposed that the province urgently supplement the industrial land area index for the project, direct specialized agencies to carry out tasks related to the appraisal of detailed planning at a scale of 1/500; add a connection point to National Highway 1 for the project; review the irrigation system in the project area to avoid overlap. In particular, urgently invest in building resettlement areas to relocate people, recover land, and serve site clearance (GPMB) in 2024 - 2025 is 300ha; in 2026 is 192ha.
The recommendations and proposals of the investor for the VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park project have been considered by the province, and the specialized agencies have been directed to coordinate implementation. In the Notice of Conclusion No. 1262-TB/TU on the opinions of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on a number of contents related to the implementation of the VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park project, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to lead the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments, branches and localities to coordinate closely in implementation. In particular, it is important to pay attention to approving detailed construction planning at a scale of 1/500 within the authority, strictly managing planning and land; compensation, site clearance and resettlement in accordance with regulations. Determine the proposed location for infrastructure construction of resettlement areas before site clearance to stabilize the lives of affected people.
