Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project is expected to start construction in early 2026.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Council has just approved the investment policy for the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project, a 159km-long arterial road passing through 5 provinces and cities, of which 18.23km passes through Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. This is a strategic inter-regional traffic project, connecting important expressways such as Bien Hoa-Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City-Moc Bai, Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay, etc.

The project has a cross-section of 74.5m, phase 1 will implement 4 expressway lanes. The total investment capital of phase 1 is about 120,412 billion VND. The section through Ba Ria-Vung Tau is expected to be divided into 2 component projects with a total preliminary investment of more than 8,579 billion VND.

The entire route has 5,862 households affected by site clearance. It is expected that resettlement and compensation work will begin in 2025, construction will begin in 2026 and the entire route will be completed in 2029.
