The land for the construction of Phu Kien Bridge is expected to be handed over in December 2026.

The People's Committee of Tay Nha Trang ward has just issued a decision approving the plan for land acquisition, inspection, survey, measurement, and inventory for the Phu Kieng Bridge Project.

Accordingly, the project covers a total area of ​​1.9 hectares, with 93 plots of land to be acquired. It is expected that from now until November 30th, the People's Committee of the ward will publicly post and send the decision approving the compensation, support, and resettlement plan to the households; receive land handover from households that agree to the plan; and organize efforts to persuade people to accept compensation and support and hand over the land… In December, the land will be handed over to the Provincial Development Project Management Board for project implementation.

The Phu Kien Bridge Project is managed by the Provincial Development Project Management Board. The bridge is 271.2 meters long, with the main bridge section approximately 200 meters long. According to the design, the bridge is 21 meters wide; the approach bridge is 18 meters wide, with 4 reinforced concrete slab girder spans; the main bridge section has 2 self-anchored suspension spans; and the bridge girders are made of reinforced concrete box girders. The intersections at the northern (Hon Nghe village) and southern (Luong Dinh Cua road) ends of the bridge are designed to ensure safety, good drainage in the area, and the connecting roads. The total investment for the Phu Kien Bridge construction is approximately 600 billion VND.

Currently, thousands of residents in the Xuân Ngọc, Hòn Nghê 1, and Hòn Nghê 2 residential areas (Tây Nha Trang ward) still have to travel across the Phú Kiểng wooden bridge, which is unsafe, especially during the rainy season. The Phú Kiểng bridge, constructed of reinforced concrete, will gradually complete the synchronized transportation network in the province according to the approved plan, improve transportation capacity, connect traffic on both banks of the Cái River, and promote the expansion and development of the urban space in Tây Nha Trang ward, creating a foundation for the development of other infrastructure projects.
