The coaching staff is expected to give a starting opportunity to a group of players who entered the field from the second half of the previous match, such as Vietnamese-American midfielder Tran Nam Trung, Nguyen Vadim, Nam Hai, Van Thuan, Thai Son, Minh Phuc, Long Vu and Quang Kiet. This is considered a valuable opportunity for these young and ambitious faces to "score points" in the eyes of acting head coach Dinh Hong Vinh - who is also coach Kim Sang-sik.
Coach Kim Sang-sik is currently leading the Vietnamese team to play two matches against Nepal in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, but still closely monitors and continuously updates the technical parameters and performances of the U.23 players in each training session as well as friendly matches.
