During the training session, head coach Kim Sang Sik implemented a light training program with simple warm-up exercises and tactical coordination. The starting players in the first leg mainly did recovery exercises to quickly regain their full physical condition. The training session was serious but comfortable, reflecting the team's focus and determination towards a positive result in the second leg.

Speaking before the training session, defender Cao Pendant Quang Vinh - who was handed the captain's armband by teammate Do Duy Manh when he left the field in the previous match, shared many special emotions: "I was really surprised and proud to wear the captain's armband in an official match of the Vietnam team. That feeling is very special, even more meaningful when the team won. I also felt warmly welcomed in the national team shirt, from my teammates to the coaching staff."

Having only played twice for the Vietnamese national team, Quang Vinh said he did not encounter many difficulties in the integration process. He affirmed that he is playing stably at Hanoi Police, while the Vietnamese national team has many quality players with a very intelligent way of playing football. This helps him quickly catch up and adapt to the team's general playing style.

Commenting on his opponent Nepal, Quang Vinh assessed that this team is well-organized in defense and counterattack: "They played very focused and tried to create breakthroughs with quick counterattacks. However, we controlled the game and defended well. The victory in the first leg was an encouraging result, but the whole team still needs to improve."

Looking ahead to the return leg at Thong Nhat Stadium, the defender wearing the number 2 shirt stressed the importance of maintaining pressure and pressing continuously: “We need to be more aggressive when we lose the ball, apply constant pressure and maintain a high level of concentration in defense. Other factors are being maintained well, and we will try to do better.”

Quang Vinh also thanked the fans who came to cheer for the team in the last match. “I was really touched to see the stadium full of spectators supporting the team. That was a great source of motivation. Hopefully the fans will continue to support us in the upcoming match,” Quang Vinh shared.

The return match between Vietnam and Nepal will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City, promising to continue to be an opportunity for coach Kim Sang Sik's team to demonstrate their aspirations and the modern, cohesive playing style that is being built.
