After a week of competition, the 2025 National Boxing Championship ended on the evening of October 11 at Tan Thuan Stadium (HCMC). Hundreds of fierce matches between strong grassroots units across the country such as Hanoi , HCMC, Army, An Giang, Bac Ninh... brought a truly professional tournament.

Nguyen Thi Tam (Hanoi, green) beat Kim Sang ( An Giang ) in the women's 52kg final.
The presence of top boxers, including a team of players who regularly compete in international tournaments, is considered a motivation for more than 300 boxers at the tournament. With careful preparation by all delegations for the top national competition event, the tournament is truly a show of force and a great festival of Vietnamese boxing.

Le Hai Au (An Giang, blue) attacked Nguyen Chau Kieu Chi ( Dak Lak ) in the final of the women's 50 kg category.
While today's top martial artists such as Vo Thi Kim Anh (An Giang), Ha Thi Linh, Nguyen Thi Tam (Hanoi), Nguyen Manh Cuong (Bac Ninh), Nguyen Minh Cuong (HCMC)... all overcame all obstacles to reach the finals and won the highest prizes in the 19-40 age group, the competitions in the 17-18 age group really brought a lot of hope.

The youth boxing map has been spreading across many provinces and cities, not to mention many localities have hired foreign experts to drastically improve the quality of youth training, bringing positive signals to the movement. With fierce competition, high professional quality and very few complaints about refereeing, the 2025 national championship has been successful beyond the expectations of experts.

Vietnamese Boxing is aiming for major arenas such as SEA Games 2025, ASIAD 2026 or Olympics 2028. The 2025 National Championship is an opportunity to select and implement investment plans for a new generation of athletes, capable of competing in all arenas in the future.
In line with the general trend of international boxing, Vietnamese boxing has also actively carried out gender testing (for female boxers) and maintained a doping control regime to ensure that its participants in international tournaments comply with regulations and practices.

The 2024 National Boxing Championship will be organized in two age groups: 17 - 18 years old (14 weight classes for men, 12 weight classes for women); 19 - 40 years old (14 weight classes for men, 13 weight classes for women). Hanoi focuses on developing female boxers while the Army's traditional strength is in the men's events.
