According to information from the Ha Tinh Department of Construction, the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis passes through 23 communes and wards of the province with a length of about 103.42km. Through preliminary review, to implement the project, it is expected that 764.12 hectares of land will have to be recovered, affecting about 1,800 households with residential land, of which nearly 1,300 households will have to relocate and resettle, and more than 4,000 graves and many other works and technical infrastructure will have to be excavated.

To implement the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis, Ha Tinh is expected to have to reclaim 764.12 hectares of land of all kinds.
Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Le Anh Son said: Because the investor has not yet handed over the site clearance markers in the field, the measurement, counting, pricing, and approval of compensation plans are not yet qualified for implementation. Localities mainly carry out the preparation task based on the preliminary boundary of the project's pre-feasibility study.
Based on the preliminary review results, 18 communes and wards in the province plan to build 35 resettlement areas. Up to now, the resettlement area in Lien Vinh residential area - Ha Huy Tap ward is under construction; 28 areas with approved detailed planning/approved master plan are conducting survey and project design; 12 resettlement areas are waiting for appraisal and approval and the remaining areas have not completed planning approval.

According to Mr. Le Anh Son, in the past, although the department has issued guiding documents and regularly urged the implementation of resettlement areas for the high-speed railway project. However, up to now, except for the resettlement area in Lien Vinh residential area - Ha Huy Tap ward which is on schedule, the remaining resettlement areas have not been implemented according to the province's plan.
In order not to affect the overall progress of the project, the Department of Construction - the standing agency of the Steering Committee for Site Clearance and Site Clearance of the Provincial High-Speed Railway Project, requested communes and wards to focus on speeding up the planning progress for the remaining resettlement areas.
Immediately after the planning is approved, promptly select a consulting unit to conduct a survey, prepare a feasibility study report or an economic -technical report; complete the dossier to be eligible for appraisal before October 15.
Prepare and complete documents and procedures on land to implement compensation and site clearance for resettlement areas, ensuring sufficient conditions for construction commencement upon completion of investment procedures as prescribed.
