On the morning of October 11, leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ha Tinh inspected the implementation of the pineapple production linkage model with Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company in Ky Hoa commune.

Accordingly, the working delegation inspected the production, care and harvesting progress of the pineapple growing linkage model in Ky Hoa commune, and listened to local and business reports on implementation results, initial effectiveness as well as some directions for expanding production in the coming time.
In 2024, Ky Hoa commune began to cooperate with Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company (Ninh Binh province) to conduct a pilot pineapple planting model on an area of 16 hectares. After more than 15 months of planting, the first pineapple season has begun to be harvested, opening up a new direction for economic development for local farmers.
Through evaluation, the first pineapple crop has a good yield, each fruit weighs from 0.3 - 1kg, the estimated yield is from 40 - 45 tons/ha, the total estimated output is more than 400 tons. This model is supported by Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company in planting techniques, care and consumption of all products. The commune is continuing to review the land fund, expand the pineapple growing area to ensure the construction of raw material areas to serve the company's processing work.

Currently, Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company is cooperating to plant more than 240 hectares, of which, cooperating with Binh Ha Livestock Joint Stock Company to plant on grass land 194 hectares (in Ky Hoa, Ky Lac, Cam Lac communes), 50.42 hectares are linked with households (Ky Hoa 16 hectares, Cam Lac 2.5 hectares, Cam Xuyen 10 hectares, Huong Xuan 5 hectares, Vu Quang 4.29 hectares, Mai Hoa 8.01 hectares, Thuong Duc 4.62 hectares).
Two pineapple varieties grown in Ha Tinh are Queen and Cayen. The company has also organized technical training, provided seedlings, and assigned technical staff to guide households participating in production linkages; prepared land, labor, fertilizers and other materials for production. In general, according to the survey, pineapple plants grow and develop well; in which, some areas in Cam Xuyen and Ky Hoa communes have begun to harvest.

At the inspection, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Le Ngoc Huan assessed that the pineapple production linkage model initially gave good results, opening up an economic development direction suitable to the natural conditions and available advantages of the locality.
In the coming time, the province will continue to conduct surveys and expand the pineapple growing area according to the chain, encourage people to invest in commodity production; focus on accompanying businesses in the investment process, organizing production and product consumption to gradually form concentrated production areas associated with stable and sustainable processing and consumption in Ha Tinh.
