Building and developing circular agriculture and chain production in Ha Tinh

On the morning of December 5, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly coordinated with the Vietnam Association of Circular Agriculture , the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, and the Que Lam Group to organize a conference to evaluate the results of phase I implementation and deploy phase II cooperation on the development of organic agriculture and circular agriculture in Ha Tinh province, period 2026 - 2030.

Attending the conference, on the Central side were Chairman of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Nguyen Thanh Binh; former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development , Honorary Chairman of the Vietnam Circular Agriculture Association Nguyen Xuan Cuong; leaders of relevant ministries, departments and branches.

On Ha Tinh side, there were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duy Lam; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors, and households participating in the Que Lam model linkage chain.

Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Van Bao and leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Tri province also attended.

Ms. Hoang Thi Ai Nhien - Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Circular Agriculture Association presented "Report on cooperation results between Que Lam Group and Ha Tinh province in recent times".

In recent times, Ha Tinh has paid attention to leading and directing agricultural development, especially focusing on organic agriculture and circular agriculture. The Provincial Party Standing Committee has issued a Directive on promoting the development of ecological agriculture and organic agriculture in the period 2025 - 2030.

On that basis, departments, branches and localities integrate programs and policies to effectively implement safe and organic agricultural models. Along with that, the province strengthens cooperation with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company to promote production linkage and agricultural development.

After implementing the two-level local government, 62/69 communes signed agreements with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company on developing organic agriculture and circular economy; training, propaganda and education on organic agriculture were focused on implementation...

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong - Former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Honorary President of Vietnam Circular Agriculture Association spoke at the conference.

The total organic production area associated with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company is more than 500 hectares, including crop groups such as rice, oranges, grapefruit, dragon fruit, watermelon...; along with an organic livestock system with 327 sows, 6,500 pigs, 5,000 chickens,...

Training and production activities have contributed to changing the awareness of managers and people about organic agriculture and circular economy; gradually transforming from traditional farming practices to safe production processes, good disease control and environmental protection.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang - Chairman of People's Committee of Thach Lac commune presented a speech at the conference.

In the coming time, Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company will accompany the province in organizing seminars, tours, and learning experiences; promoting organic production models suitable to the conditions of each locality, building new models for evaluation and experience; determining concentrated organic agricultural production areas according to each key product, associated with the implementation of signed cooperation contents; coordinating with Ha Tinh province to invest in developing agricultural models according to the 4F closed chain (Farm - Food - Feed - Fertilizer)...

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly suggested: Localities should focus on improving capacity in organic agricultural production and circular economy for state management officials at all levels and people directly involved in production; continue to improve the activities of the Association of the Elderly at commune and ward levels; continue to promote effective organic agricultural models suitable to local conditions, especially models associated with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company.

Within the framework of the conference, central and local delegates and agricultural experts focused on sharing experiences in implementing many organic agriculture and circular economy models in production; at the same time, exchanging solutions and orientations to continue developing organic agriculture and circular economy in the coming time.

At the conference, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, the Vietnam Association of the Elderly, the Vietnam Association of Circular Agriculture and Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company signed a memorandum of cooperation on accompanying the construction and development of organic agriculture, circular economy, and the Que Lam value chain in the province for the period 2025 - 2030. In particular, focusing on many important cooperation contents such as developing value chains; applying science and technology, innovation into organic and circular agricultural economy; training human resources; building model villages of ecological agriculture, organic and circular agriculture;...

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh affirmed that Ha Tinh identified agriculture as one of the four key economic sectors according to the Provincial Planning. In recent times, the province has always paid attention to leading and directing the development of agriculture and rural areas, especially promoting organic agriculture and circular agriculture. With the support of businesses, especially Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company, the province has achieved many positive results in building a production - consumption chain; the models have initially brought economic efficiency to the people, contributing to environmental protection, reducing epidemics and changing awareness about green and sustainable production.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment and related units to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to concretize the commitments into policies and action plans. In particular, focusing on promoting propaganda, raising awareness for officials and people; encouraging participation in developing circular agriculture and production according to the value chain.

Orienting the development of value chains for key agricultural products such as rice, fruit trees, and pig farming; building plans to ensure stable and sustainable output, diversifying consumption channels, and targeting high-value market segments. At the same time, promoting the application of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transformation; focusing on training human resources, especially grassroots agricultural extension staff and core farmers.

Along with that, localities need to continue promoting the spirit of initiative, coordinating with departments, branches and Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company to continue replicating and developing organic agriculture and circular agriculture models in the area.
