Production is in full swing.
In the final days of the year, from the plains to the mountains, from factories to the open sea, everywhere is bustling with the spirit of urgent work, pouring all efforts into the "finish line." In 2025, Ha Tinh had to contend with two major typhoons and African swine fever, causing many production models to falter. But it is precisely in these difficulties that the "steel" of the people of Nghe An is forged, transforming challenges into motivation, creating remarkable resilience.
For agricultural businesses – a group directly impacted by natural disasters and market fluctuations – this year has been an unprecedented test of resilience. However, with their organizational skills, agricultural businesses in Ha Tinh are gradually upgrading their operations towards professionalization.

At Thien Loc Animal Feed Joint Stock Company (Can Loc commune), workers have almost no days off in the last month of the year. Amidst the bustling sounds of the feed pressing line, Director Than Van Vy shared: “The African swine fever outbreak and the sharp drop in live pig prices have led many farmers to abandon their farms. Difficulties are piling up, but disrupting the production chain would mean losing ourselves. We are determined to maintain that continuity at all costs.”
Staying true to its goals, Thien Loc Animal Feed Joint Stock Company strives to complete 1,800 tons of feed in the last month of the year, along with 160 tons of commercial pigs from its closed-loop farming chain. Expected revenue is projected to reach 180 billion VND – a figure that will not be easy to achieve in a volatile market.
Despite facing numerous challenges due to external factors, industry, trade, and services continue to play a leading role in the growth picture. Formosa Ha Tinh Hung Nghiep Steel Company Limited exports steel thanks to new-generation free trade agreements; Vung Ang 1 and Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plants operate stably, contributing billions of kWh to the national power grid. In particular, the VinFast electric car manufacturing plant in the Vung Ang Economic Zone is expected to produce over 22,000 vehicles by the end of the year, creating a strong impetus for the manufacturing industry – a new key sector of the province.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the last month of the year saw growth exceeding expectations at many businesses. By December 31st, electricity production is expected to reach nearly 11 billion kWh; battery pack production 50,000 packs; new battery cell production 19.5 million cells; beer production 84 million liters; yarn production nearly 10,000 tons… As a result, the province's industrial production index is estimated to increase by 5% compared to the previous year.
Key products such as steel, textiles, garments, and tea are present in many demanding markets, contributing to the province's total export turnover reaching 2 billion USD and import turnover reaching 2.9 billion USD. These impressive figures show that Ha Tinh is gradually asserting its position on the national industrial and commercial map.

Along with the bustling industrial sector, at the end of the year, the arrival of the Northeast monsoon brings with it the northern fishing season – a season of abundant catches for fishermen in Ha Tinh. Ships equipped with modern navigation systems venture out to sea, returning with holds full of shrimp and fish.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Nhat, Deputy Head of the Fisheries Sub-Department: Both fishing and aquaculture are accelerating in the last month of the year. The projected fisheries production for 2025 is 61,402 tons, an increase of 4.5% compared to 2024.
Public investment highlights shape a vibrant Ha Tinh.
In the final year of the 2020-2025 term, Ha Tinh accelerated the disbursement of public investment capital and implemented a series of key infrastructure projects to create a synchronized and modern appearance. Extended strategic roads, completed transportation and civil works, and numerous newly launched projects created a vibrant atmosphere throughout the province.

Mr. Le Viet Hoa, Deputy Director of the Provincial Project Management Board for Investment in Construction of Transportation and Urban Development Projects, said: “The urgent task currently being focused on by all levels and sectors is to resolve land clearance obstacles – the ‘key step’ that determines the success or failure of many projects. Land clearance bottlenecks in key projects such as the extended Ham Nghi road, the DT.553 section from Loc Yen to Ho Chi Minh road, and the extended Xo Viet Nghe Tinh road… are being prioritized for resolution, increasing the disbursement rate of public investment capital.”
In the final month of the year, working groups led by the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee directly visited each project to resolve each obstacle, ensuring construction progress and creating a new look for infrastructure as the province focused on improving the efficiency of the two-tiered local government model.

A highlight in investment activities is the commencement of six large-scale projects in Ha Tinh province to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, with a total investment of over 128,500 billion VND. Particularly noteworthy is the Vinmetal Ha Tinh Steel Plant project, with a total capital of 79,986 billion VND and a capacity of 5 million tons per year. The project is scheduled to commence on December 19, 2025, along with more than 200 other projects nationwide to celebrate the 14th Party Congress.
Representatives of Vingroup Corporation - the investor of the Vinmetal Ha Tinh Steel Plant project - affirmed that proactively producing steel domestically will ensure supply for large-scale projects, while simultaneously enhancing the capacity of heavy industry and national competitiveness.

The year 2025 holds special significance – the year of "reaching the finish line" for the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025). Amidst a volatile global economy, Ha Tinh province remains steadfast in its major goals: streamlining the administrative apparatus, efficiently operating the two-tiered local government model; accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital; expanding investment attraction; and maintaining growth momentum in agriculture, industry, and services. The province is striving to achieve a GRDP growth rate of 8.78% for the whole year of 2025 – a figure that requires sustained effort and creativity from the entire political system, from the people to businesses.
