Railway transports free relief goods to people in flood-hit areas

Implementing the Prime Minister's telegram on urgently overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, from October 10, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) received and transported free of charge relief goods to people in areas affected by storm No. 11 and its circulation.

According to VNR, the Railway sector will only receive and transport relief goods from organizations and individuals free of charge through the People's Committees, Fatherland Fronts and Red Cross Societies of centrally-run provinces and cities. VNR recommends that organizations and individuals contact these agencies and units for specific instructions on procedures for receiving and sending relief goods.

The work of receiving and unloading goods is organized at qualified terminal stations on the national railway network, such as: Saigon, Song Than, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue, Dong Hoi, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong... Relief goods will be transported to Giap Bat and Hanoi stations.
