Mr. Dang Hoang Tuan, Director of Long An Department of Transport, said that Ho Chi Minh City leaders have agreed on the adjustment of the route of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 through Long An .
Specifically, the Ring Road 4 route through Long An will be adjusted in the most beneficial direction, especially avoiding going through densely populated residential areas, reducing project implementation costs. Currently, Long An is carrying out the steps to complete the Ring Road 4 project documents.
Ring Road 4 through Long An has a total length of more than 74km.
Long An Department of Transport has also reported to the Ministry of Transport on adjusting the road section from the intersection in Hau Nghia town, Duc Hoa district to near the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway intersection in Ben Luc district.
The adjusted route will be 5.4km longer than the old plan, increasing the route through Long An to 74.5km. Thus, adding 3.8km through Ho Chi Minh City to connect the North-South axis, the entire route will be over 78km.
Previously, the Standing Committee of Long An Provincial People's Committee agreed that the project would choose a cross-section design of 25.5m wide to synchronize with the provinces and cities on the route: Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Ho Chi Minh City.
At the same time, choose the investment option of Ho Chi Minh City's beltway 4 through Long An into a highway, speed 100km/h, 4 complete lanes, 25.5m roadbed, bridge arranged in two units, each unit 12.25m.
The project's rest stop location is selected in Duc Hue district with an area of about 10 hectares. Of which, the rest stop is about 1 hectare, the rest is planned to combine the construction of commercial and service areas...
