The Hanoi High School Football Tournament for the 1998-2001 school year has entered its 5th season, with the opening ceremony taking place on October 20, with the participation of many players Do Duy Manh, Tran Dinh Trong, and strikers Tran Danh Trung and Can Cris.

This year's tournament gathered hundreds of former students from 15 teams of former high school students from the 1998-2001 school year in Hanoi to register to compete and many fans, including classmates, family... appeared at Nhat Minh Stadium to cheer for the tournament, as well as reminisce about beautiful memories and give it their all on the field.

Attending the opening ceremony, central defender Do Duy Manh shared: "Although it is amateur football, the tournament brings a lot of meaning to the participants, through football it will also help us become more connected."

The tournament will take place in 2 months.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of the tournament organizing committee, said that this year's tournament has been carefully prepared by the organizing committee, the tournament is on a larger scale, and hopes that the following seasons will affirm the tournament's reputation.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, exciting matches took place on Nhat Minh football field (Hoang Mai, Hanoi). Although these were only the first matches, the alumni teams clearly showed their determination with thrilling juggling and scoring performances.

It is known that after the final match on December 8, the Organizing Committee will auction the jersey of center back Duy Manh to raise funds for the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support charitable activities.
