Taba border crossing, located right next to the border between Israel and Egypt, saw a large crowd of people waiting to complete exit procedures, including many international tourists and foreign citizens, including Vietnamese.
Eilat - a Red Sea resort city famous for its hot, dry climate and beautiful coral beaches - has for nearly two weeks put aside its usual tourist tranquility to become a major transit point for evacuation groups.
With its geographical location bordering Israel, Egypt and Jordan, Eilat serves as an important gateway for residents and tourists leaving conflict zones.

In particular, according to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel, this agency quickly coordinated with local authorities to organize the evacuation of two groups of Vietnamese citizens from Israel through the Eilat-Taba border gate to Egyptian territory. A total of nearly 50 Vietnamese citizens were assisted in completing procedures and moving safely across the border.
Embassy diplomats and VNA reporters were present in southern Israel to closely monitor the situation, provide legal and logistical support to citizens, ensure safety during travel, and provide information on the Embassy's citizen protection work.
Although the conflict between Israel and Iran has temporarily ended after 12 days of fierce fighting, the embassy said it is continuing to maintain a hotline, closely monitoring the situation and is ready to deploy further citizen protection plans if necessary.
At the Taba border crossing, long lines of people waiting to complete procedures stretched hundreds of meters in the past few days. Many people had to wait for hours in hot weather above 40 degrees Celsius, while on-site support services such as drinking water, food and shuttle buses were under great pressure.

Besides the Taba crossing, the Rabin crossing, located on the border between Israel and Jordan, also became one of the important strategic evacuation points for citizens and foreign tourists during the 12 days of conflict.
The Israeli government, in coordination with international organizations and embassies, has deployed emergency measures to ensure the safety of evacuees, including security checks, medical assistance and providing transportation to Jordan.
Amid the unrest, Eilat - once a peaceful coastal tourist city - has recently become a vital gateway where many people find a way out of the danger zone.
The presence and prompt response of diplomatic agencies, such as the case of the Vietnamese Embassy, are playing a key role in ensuring the safety of citizens in emergency situations./.
