Accordingly, to ensure the safety of tourists and tourism infrastructure, the Department requested relevant units to strictly implement instructions from the Central and provincial governments on responding to storms No. 9 and No. 10 and post-storm floods.

The People's Committees of communes and wards regularly update storm developments, direct timely handling and immediately report incidents arising in tourism activities to the Department for coordination and resolution.
Lao Cai Tourism Association proactively supports and provides timely information to tourists; suspends or adjusts tours and travel schedules in dangerous areas; at the same time promotes solidarity and shares difficulties with tourists in many practical forms such as reducing prices on rooms, meals, bus tickets, etc. to build a safe and friendly image of Lao Cai tourism.
Tourist areas, attractions, and tourism service businesses must closely monitor and count the number of visitors, groups, and tour guides in high-risk areas, maintain regular contact to respond promptly, and temporarily suspend tours and routes to affected areas until safety notice is given.
At the same time, proactively reinforce and brace structures, cut off power in dangerous areas; fully prepare generators, clean water, and food to respond to all situations.

Travel businesses and service establishments need to notify and negotiate with customers to cancel, adjust or reschedule, ensuring safety and the best interests of tourists.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests localities, units and tourism businesses in the province to seriously coordinate implementation to minimize risks and ensure safety for tourists and the community.
