With 1.5 hectares of hilly land, Mr. Tran Ba Duc's family in Residential Group 21 has planted 0.5 hectares of red-fleshed dragon fruit; 0.4 hectares of golden star apple; and the rest with plums and peaches. These are high-yielding, high-quality, and economically efficient crops. The crops are planned into separate areas with clean and beautiful entrances for visitors. In addition to tourists, Mr. Duc's family's model is also frequently chosen to host study tours.

Mr. Tran Ba Duc said: “Our family has been developing a specialized fruit-growing model for over 20 years, earning an average income of over 500 million VND per year from fruit. Many products, such as red-fleshed dragon fruit (which is included in the ward's OCOP program) and Hoang Kim star apple (a new specialty fruit), are popular with consumers and sell for 80,000 - 100,000 VND/kg. Our family is always ready to welcome and guide visiting groups, learn from our experience, and tourists to promote, introduce, and sell our products right in the orchard.”

Many orchards owned by households in Residential Area 21 welcome tourists for visits and educational purposes.

Located right next to National Highway 32, the family of Mr. Luyen Thanh Binh, in Residential Group 21, owns 2 hectares of hilly land, including 0.3 hectares of ornamental peach trees and 0.35 hectares of three-flowered plum trees, with the remainder planted with red-fleshed dragon fruit and grafted longan. Every year, during the peach and plum blossom season, many tourists come here to admire the scenery and take photos. Mr. Binh's family does not charge visitors for visiting their orchard.

"When more people visit our garden, selling fruit trees and ornamental peach trees becomes much easier," said Mr. Luyen Thanh Binh.

With many tourists visiting, fruit growers have a good opportunity to sell their produce.

Similarly, the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, in Residential Group 21, also owns 1.2 hectares of hilly orchard land, of which 0.35 hectares are planted with green pomelos, 0.3 hectares with oranges, and the rest with peaches and plums, with the aim of both harvesting the fruit and serving tourists who come to visit, take photos, and experience the peach and plum orchards.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu said: “Tourists visiting Trung Tam ward and the Muong Lo area really enjoy taking photos and visiting the fruit orchards, especially in the spring. Our family welcomes tourists for free, mainly to promote and introduce the beautiful scenery of our homeland, and this also helps us sell more fruit. On average, our family earns over 200 million VND per year from selling fruit.”

Residential area 21 has 170 households with over 600 residents. More than 90% of households cultivate fruit trees, vegetables, peaches, and plums with high yields and quality, bringing in an average income of 60 million VND per person per year. Many agricultural products have achieved OCOP standards, notably red-fleshed dragon fruit and green-skinned pomelo. The total area planted with fruit trees is nearly 100 hectares, including: ornamental peach trees (36 hectares), longan (27 hectares), plums (17.8 hectares), dragon fruit (10.5 hectares), pomelo (6.5 hectares), and custard apple (1 hectare).

Leveraging the strengths of the fruit-growing region, the Party branch has guided households to develop a model of agricultural tourism combined with tourism. In reality, the lush green spaces of the fruit-laden orchards have attracted many tourists to visit and experience them. This is also a tourism product that connects with the homestay tourism chain of Sa Ren, Chao Ha 1, Chao Ha 2 residential areas, Muong Lo rice fields, Thia stream, Nghia Lo tea hills, and Nghia Lo fruit orchards...

The lush green spaces of the fruit-laden orchards attract tourists.

Along with developing agricultural models linked to tourism, the work of environmental protection and building a civilized urban lifestyle has always been a priority for Residential Group 21. 100% of the roads are regularly cleaned, self-governing groups operate effectively, contributing to building a "bright - green - clean - beautiful" residential group; the entire road system is concreted, and the lighting rate reaches nearly 91%... creating more favorable conditions for tourism development and trade.

Developing agriculture in conjunction with tourism not only brings income and improves the economy for the people of Residential Group 21, but also contributes to making Trung Tam Ward an attractive destination for green tourism and experiential tourism.
