EVN's exhibition space at the National Achievements Exhibition
The exhibition of national achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025, at the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi City.
In a 160 m2 space reserved for State-owned enterprises with the theme " Economic Locomotive", EVN will highlight its key role in creating a strong national power system, the energy lifeline for the Vietnamese economy.
The center of the exhibition space is the National Power System Model. This model simulates the entire Vietnam power grid by 2025 with a total capacity of more than 88,400 MW, ranking first in Southeast Asia and 22nd in the world . The model is not only a vivid visual model but also a symbol affirming the position and development stature of the Electricity industry after more than 70 years (1954 - 2025).
The model vividly shows the entire power source and grid system spanning across the country, from large hydropower clusters in the North such as Hoa Binh, Son La, Lai Chau, to major power centers such as Uong Bi, Pha Lai, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nghi Son.
The Central region stands out with typical hydroelectric plants such as Ialy and the power centers of Vung Ang and Nghi Son.
The South has large thermal power centers such as Phu My, Vinh Tan, Duyen Hai, ensuring stable electricity supply for the dynamic economic region.
The highlight of the model is the 500kV North-South 3-circuit transmission line system, connecting the three regions of the country, helping to balance the load. In particular, the 500kV 3-circuit Quang Trach - Pho Noi transmission line project was constructed at lightning speed in more than 6 months and put into operation in 2024, which was praised by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh as a miracle of the Electricity and Construction industry of Vietnam.
Drones used for power grid maintenance and construction are displayed at the exhibition.
The model also shows the presence of electricity in border areas and islands, with electricity reaching 11 special zones (18 islands), of which 14 islands are directly supplied with electricity from the national grid. The project to bring national grid electricity to Con Dao by 110 kV submarine cable, 103.7 km long, the longest submarine cable in Southeast Asia, is one of the typical projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
In addition to the model, EVN also has attractive exhibition spaces, demonstrating the strong transformation of the Electricity industry in technology application, digital transformation and online customer service. Visitors can experience virtual reality glasses at the Vietnam Power System Subdivision to admire large-scale power projects.
The Technology and Digital Transformation Zone introduces solutions and products applying advanced technology such as the Digital Electrician model, EVNHCMC's online grid management application, rooftop solar power monitoring equipment and electronic meters of EVNCPC (a product that won the "Make in Vietnam" award), or the 500 kV/300 MVA transformer model manufactured by EEMC.
EVN's exhibition space is not only a destination for sightseeing and experience, but also affirms the position of the "economic locomotive" of the Electricity industry - one of the important driving forces promoting the development of the country, while demonstrating the commitment of the Electricity industry to wholeheartedly accompany the nation and people on the new development path.
