At approximately 10:20 PM on March 5th, users' Facebook and Messenger accounts were unexpectedly logged out on both the web version and the apps.
Specifically, when users connect to this social network, they are "kicked" out and unable to log back in. According to Downdetector, a website that monitors social network health, more than 100,000 users worldwide have reported this error on the Facebook social media platform.
This serious incident occurred globally, not just in Vietnam; it affected not only users' personal Facebook pages but also various Facebook platforms (web and mobile), the Messenger messaging app, and the image-focused social network Instagram.
This is arguably the biggest incident ever for this social network, both in terms of scope and the time it took to resolve the issue.
Meta's services were gradually restored around 11:20 PM.
