As Thanh Nien newspaper reported, for nearly a month, the congestion of goods through FedEx's international delivery service has caused significant difficulties and heavy losses for customers, mostly manufacturing businesses. In its latest update, FedEx affirms that it "is making steady progress in restoring service throughout Vietnam, with noticeable improvements in the past few days. The backlog continues to decrease, with more efficient delivery thanks to faster processing, improved cargo flow, refined procedures, enhanced system capacity, and improved tracking capabilities."
According to FedEx, incoming shipments are now moving more smoothly and with fewer delays within the network. Closer coordination with FedEx's national network providers is also helping to enhance pickup and delivery operations and improve delivery reliability. Customers will continue to see these improvements reflected in faster customs clearance and delivery, especially for priority and critical shipments.
However, many FedEx customers report that delivery is still very slow. Customers continue to send emails and make phone calls urging delivery, and the waiting time for processing and picking up goods is excessively long. In some cases, goods are even lost, and the delivery date remains uncertain. Meanwhile, the losses incurred by businesses due to canceled orders, lost orders, and damaged reputation with export partners are impossible to fully quantify.
