Fernandes negotiates to leave MU for 100 million pounds

Bruno Fernandes' representatives have reportedly held a meeting with Al-Hilal in a bid to broker a £100m move.

The 30-year-old midfielder joined United on their tour of Asia, while his agent Miguel Pinho flew to Riyadh to negotiate directly with Al-Hilal's leadership. Club president Fahad bin Nafel worked hard with Pinho at the Four Seasons Hotel, offering a three-year contract worth around £200m, equivalent to £700,000 a week, and especially tax-free.

Al-Hilal are preparing to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in June and want Fernandes to strengthen their squad. Last season's Saudi Arabian champions asked the Portuguese midfielder's side to respond within 72 hours, but Fernandes has not made a final decision.

MU could benefit from the deal thanks to the high price. "The Saudi Arabian giants are trying to reach a £100m deal for the Manchester United captain in the coming days," wrote the Daily Mail .

MU is said to be ready to sell all players. Fernandes' future will likely be decided this week. After the defeat in the Europa League final against Tottenham, Fernandes had expressed his desire to leave to find a new challenge.

The former Sporting Lisbon midfielder said: "I'm always straightforward. I'm here until the club says it's time to leave. I'm eager to bring more to the club. When the club feels I'm no longer suitable, football is like that, no one knows in advance. If they want to get their money back or have other plans, I respect that."

Selling Fernandes helps MU have money to cover transfer fees and reduce financial burden in the context of the club being empty-handed in all arenas this season.
