Ferrari unveils its first all-electric model.

The timing of the Luce's launch reflects the reality that many luxury car manufacturers are now more cautious about electrification, amid slower-than-expected global demand for electric vehicles.

Italian supercar manufacturer Ferrari has officially unveiled its first all-electric model in history, the Luce, marking a significant transition for the iconic speed brand into the electric vehicle era.

The name "Luce" means "Light" in Italian. According to Ferrari, the new model has a top speed exceeding 310 km/h, a range of over 530 km on a single charge, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds.

The car is equipped with a large 122 kWh battery pack and weighs approximately 2.26 tons – making it the heaviest Ferrari ever produced.

The Luce is also the second Ferrari in history to feature a four-door design and the first five-seater model from the brand, which is renowned for its two-seater coupe supercars with distinctive sporty styling.

Ferrari chairman John Elkann said the launch of the Luce opens a new chapter in the company's development strategy, turning vision into reality and continuing Ferrari's tradition of pioneering and shaping the future.

Ferrari's launch of its first electric car came later than many rivals in the luxury supercar segment, such as Porsche and Lamborghini, who had already introduced high-performance electric or hybrid models.

However, the timing of Luce's launch also reflects the reality that many luxury car manufacturers are now more cautious about electrification, amid slower-than-expected global demand for electric vehicles.

Last year, Ferrari adjusted its strategic targets, stating that electric vehicles are expected to account for only about 20% of its product portfolio by 2030 – a significant reduction from its previous target of 40%.
