According to the plan of the Hanoi People's Committee, the main activities of the 2nd Thang Long - Hanoi Festival are expected to take place from September 11 to 20, 2026 at many prominent locations in the capital city.
The grand opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on the evening of September 11th at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, featuring a special, elaborately staged artistic program combining traditional elements with modern performance technology. At the Temple of Literature – National University, exhibitions, displays, heritage experiences, and art performances will take place throughout the period from September 11th to 20th, creating an interactive space between heritage and the public, especially young people.
Meanwhile, at the Hanoi Museum, a series of activities showcasing the essence of traditional crafts and intangible cultural heritage performances will continue until the end of 2026, contributing to the sustainable dissemination of heritage values.
Notably, the performance "Thang Long Royal Banquet," scheduled to take place on October 10, 2026, at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, will offer a novel experience by combining performing arts and royal cuisine, vividly recreating the cultural atmosphere of ancient Thang Long.
