FIFA recently unveiled the logo for the 2026 World Cup, a tournament co-hosted by three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
On May 18th, in a solemn ceremony held at the prestigious Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, FIFA President Gianni Infantino and two-time World Cup champion Ronaldo Nazário unveiled the official logo for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The tournament, which will take place in three years' time, will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The logo features a black background with the number "26" drawn vertically in white, and the trophy clearly visible throughout the image.
In a press release, FIFA explained the significance of this year's logo: "For the first time in history, the image of the actual trophy and the year the tournament is being held are fully depicted on the logo. This will serve as a guide for future World Cups, as the image of the year of hosting and the trophy allows host nations and cities to showcase their own unique characteristics."

Along with the tournament's overall logo, each host city will also unveil a unique site logo that reflects the characteristics and features of that city.
Additionally, at the event, FIFA also announced the slogan for the upcoming World Cup: #WeAre26 (We Are 26).
FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated: "We are 26, a call to arms. It's a time when three nations and an entire continent say: We stand united as one to welcome the world and deliver the biggest, best, and most inclusive World Cup ever." To date, FIFA has not revealed the location for the 2026 World Cup final. "We don't yet know where the 2026 World Cup final will take place. This is still under consideration. So please send us your suggestions and rest assured that we have more proposals, but Los Angeles will certainly be one of the key cities for the 2026 World Cup," Infantino added.
The biggest football festival on the planet, where Lionel Messi and Argentina will look to defend their title, will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
