Vietnam Futsal team finalizes roster for Asian qualifiers.

(NLĐO) - After a training camp in Kuwait, the Vietnamese futsal team has arrived in China to prepare for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers.

The Vietnamese futsal team traveled from Kuwait on a journey lasting over 20 hours, transiting through Dubai before arriving in Hangzhou in the early morning of September 15th (local time). Prior to this, the Vietnamese futsal team had won both matches against host nation Kuwait (3-2, 3-1).

On the same morning, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team held their first training session at the Linping Sport Center Gymnasium, the official venue for Group E. The session mainly consisted of light exercises to help the players acclimatize to the time zone and recover their physical condition after the long flight.

In the afternoon, the team continued practicing tactics, with a focus on defensive organization and quick transitions.

Before traveling to Hangzhou, head coach Diego Raul Giustozzi also announced the official list of 14 players participating in the Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers. Accordingly, two players, Nguyen Van Tuan and Nguyen Minh Tri, had to say goodbye to their teammates.

According to the schedule in Group E, the Vietnamese futsal team will play against Hong Kong (China) on September 20th, China on September 22nd, and Lebanon on September 24th.

With thorough preparation domestically and international training, the Vietnamese futsal team aims to qualify for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship Finals, while also affirming its position among the top teams in the continent.
