According to Decision No. 1061 dated June 21, 2024 of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Da Lat Railway Station officially becomes a tourist destination on the National Tourism Map. This is not only an administrative recognition but also a basis and motivation for the Railway industry to exploit advantages and promote potentials to share and spread cultural values to the community; contributing to the development of local tourism and economy .

Da Lat Railway Station was built by the French in 1932 and completed in 1938. This unique ancient architectural work was inspired by the legendary Lang Biang Mountain and the traditional Tay Nguyen communal house roof. As the only railway station in the Central Highlands, Da Lat Railway Station is closely associated with the history of the formation and development of the "land of thousands of pine trees" urban area, and is considered the most beautiful ancient railway station in Vietnam and Indochina.
With its special architectural and cultural values, Da Lat Railway Station was recognized as a National Historical Relic in 2001; and has long been an indispensable attractive destination for tourists when coming to Da Lat city.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Railways Corporation, said: With the desire to turn Da Lat Station into a destination of culture, art, history and heritage, in recent years, along with the renovation and upgrading of the station, the Railway industry has also invested in upgrading and developing transportation products on the Da Lat - Trai Mat route to form a complete service supply chain, creating a highlight for tourism, such as launching the "Train, flower road" movement, opening "Da Lat night journey"...
These efforts have helped increase the number of visitors to the station for sightseeing and taking the train. Specifically, in the first 6 months of 2024, the number of visitors to the station and taking the train was 275,212, equal to 111.6% compared to the first 6 months of 2023; of which, the number of visitors taking the Da Lat - Trai Mat train tour was 138,024, equal to 194% compared to the first 6 months of 2023.
