The Starfield community is home to some of the most creative ships ever created by players. With the Creation Engine 2 tools, gamers can come up with a wide variety of designs. They can be models inspired by other worlds , like the Mandalorian's ship from Star Wars, the Swordfish from Cowboy Bepop, Samus Aran's ship from Nintendo's Metroid, and more. Players are also passionate about original models. Two months after Starfield launched, players are constantly creating new models, whether they're inspired by a famous ship or not.
After learning that Starfield never had a helicopter, Reddit user Ill_Impression_4703 shared his own creation of a prototype helicopter. Located on a landing pad, the helicopter is multi-story, complete with rotating blades that, of course, can't rotate. According to user Ill_Impression_4703, this is a combat helicopter, although the whole process is just a test. The photos of the helicopter were taken while the player was on the ground, which is a bit "weird" when using Starfield's photo mode when traveling through space.
While the Reddit post received many compliments, another user claimed to have seen a similar helicopter online. Upon checking the subreddit, there were indeed dozens of similar builds on display. However, Ill_Impression_4703's design still stood out to many other users.
This Starfield helicopter isn't the first ship Ill_Impression_4703 has shared. He's previously posted other aircraft like the LEGO Bi-Plane, A-10 Thunderbolt II, and F-16. According to him, the designs were inspired by ships from No Man's Sky... Most notably, his post of the new and improved A-10 Thunderbolt II has received over 1,900 upvotes at the time of writing.
Next up, Ill_Impression_4703 plans to design the famous Blue Thunder. While Starfield players may not have access to the spacecraft blueprints to edit, they can still view the designs of other players who have built unique ships that add excitement to Starfield.
