Nearly 77% of communes and wards in Nghe An have completed the elimination of dilapidated and makeshift houses for the poor.

By July 25, 2025, Nghe An province had 100/130 communes and wards completing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, reaching a rate of nearly 77%.

From July 18 to July 25, localities in the province continued to build houses for the poor and households with difficult housing circumstances with a total of 39 houses (specifically: 25 new houses, 14 repaired houses). Of which, the Program supported 17 houses from socialized sources (5 new houses, 12 repaired houses); the Program supported houses for people with meritorious services with 22 houses (20 new houses, 2 repaired houses), all of which have been handed over and put into use.

In the 4th week of July 2025 alone, the whole province had 4 more localities completing the housing construction program for the poor and people in difficult circumstances; bringing the total number of units completing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province to 100/130 communes and wards.

The remaining number of houses that need to be completed before July 31, 2025 in the whole province is 162 (148 new houses, 14 repaired houses), in 30 communes and wards. Of the total 162 unfinished houses, 159 have started construction; 3 houses have not started construction (in Yen Thanh and Mau Thach communes).

To complete the Program of mobilizing and supporting the construction of houses for the poor and those with housing difficulties in the whole province, the Steering Committee for mobilizing and supporting the construction of houses for the poor and those with housing difficulties of the province is urging and guiding localities to speed up the progress of construction; focusing on speeding up the progress of construction and repair of houses for the subjects; organizing the handover of houses to people immediately after completion, ensuring that by the deadline of July 31, 2025, 100% of communes and wards will complete the program of building houses for people./.
