Attending the Conference, on the Vietnamese side were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van; Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van; more than 200 delegates who are leaders of provinces and cities, representatives of departments, branches and enterprises of 25 localities in the Northern region.
On the Korean side, there were Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Youngsam, leaders of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in Southeast Asia and Oceania, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), the Korean Business Association (KOCHAM), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and more than 150 Korean enterprises investing and doing business in Vietnam.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son expressed his pleasure to attend the 2025 Meeting with Korea in Hung Yen province, a land rich in cultural traditions with the pride of "First the Capital, second Pho Hien", with much room, potential and opportunity for breakthrough development, at a very special time when marking 10 years since the two countries signed the Vietnam - Korea Free Trade Agreement (VKFTA), 10 years of organizing the series of events Meeting with Korea in Vietnam. The two countries have become leading important partners and have a relationship of "good friends, good partners and good in-laws", in which economic cooperation is a prominent highlight".
Emphasizing that the 2025 Meeting with Korea has many important meanings and makes important contributions to promoting the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the new period, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son believes that the Conference will be a favorable opportunity for the two sides to share visions and ideas, cooperate and connect, and create new momentum, new opportunities, and new results in the Vietnam - Korea economic and trade relations on the basis of mutual win-win for common prosperity.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is committed to creating an open and transparent investment environment, continuing to promote administrative procedure reform, smart governance, carrying out a revolution in organizational structure, reducing intermediaries, eliminating the mechanism of asking for and giving, promoting decentralization and delegation of power in the direction of streamlining, compactness, strength, efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency; creating favorable conditions and actively supporting the resolution of difficulties for foreign enterprises, including Korean enterprises, to invest stably and long-term in Vietnam. Government agencies, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have been and will continue to accompany localities and enterprises on the path towards sustainable development.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son directed the discussions at the Conference to exploit the momentum from the Vietnam-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, promote Vietnam's new position and strength, and the potential and advantages of Vietnamese localities; at the same time, strengthen cooperation between the parties in key areas on the basis of equality, mutual benefit, taking quality, efficiency and sustainability as the top criteria. Specifically, including digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, semiconductors, environmentally friendly energy, biotechnology, 5G network, smart cities.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Hung Yen Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia shared that the conference held in Hung Yen province is an opportunity for northern localities and Korean partners to evaluate the results of cooperation in the past time and propose directions for cooperation in the coming time.
The Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated Korean enterprises for not only actively contributing to the province's socio-economic development, creating jobs for workers, but also actively accompanying and implementing social responsibility activities in the province.
Calling on Korean enterprises to increase investment in high-tech, semiconductor and environmental fields, Hung Yen Provincial leaders pledged to create all conditions for the business community to conduct production, business and trade activities... in the most favorable conditions.

Sharing at the Conference, Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Youngsam assessed that Meet Korea 2025 is a special playground in promoting economic cooperation between Vietnam and Korea, in which localities, key agencies and businesses of the two countries sit together to exchange, share experiences, connect and create practical achievements.
Emphasizing that this Conference has special content and format, including the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two sides' partners and the scholarship awarding ceremony for poor students of Hung Yen province, the Ambassador said that these are substantial results in cooperation between the two countries.
Thanking the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hung Yen province for their cooperation, the Ambassador affirmed that he will continue to strongly implement economic diplomacy, strengthen connections between Vietnamese localities and Korean enterprises so that Korean enterprises can do business and operate effectively in Vietnam, and at the same time support Vietnamese enterprises to attract investment and participate in the Korean supply chain.

At two discussion sessions on “Promoting Vietnam-Korea trade and investment in the new era” and “Promoting cooperation in developing high-tech industries”, representatives of Vietnamese localities shared about the cooperation situation with Korean partners; introduced the potential, strengths and priority projects calling for investment and technological support from the country.
Leaders of Korean agencies and associations gave an overview of the investment situation and cooperation in supply chains and production chains of Korean enterprises and corporations in the Northern region, pointed out some difficulties and proposed cooperation directions to promote and expand economic cooperation between the two sides in the coming time.

Speaking at the end of the Conference, Deputy Foreign Minister Ngo Le Van assessed that Meeting Korea 2025 was a great success with many highlights, being a large-scale inter-regional international connection Conference.
At the same time, he believes that cultural similarities, sharing, and understanding based on a good “in-law” relationship are advantages for Korean investors to not only consider Vietnam as a place to work but also to choose Vietnam as a place to stay for a long time.
Suggesting that businesses of the two countries seize new opportunities and take the lead in new trends to create breakthrough developments, Deputy Minister Ngo Le Van hopes that Korean businesses will increase investment in new fields such as high technology, innovation, semiconductors, renewable energy, research and development, green agriculture, etc.
Thanking the close coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hung Yen province and localities in the Northern region in successfully organizing the Meeting Korea 2025, Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Youngsam said that the Conference has painted a green, clean future with many prospects for cooperation in green agriculture and trade and investment between Vietnam and Korea.

Within the framework of the Conference, a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony took place between Vincom Retail Operation Company Limited and VTK Hung Yen Industrial Park Investment and Development Company Limited.
At the Meet Korea 2025 Conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the Korean Embassy to organize nearly 100 effective and substantive working meetings between local leaders attending the Conference with the Ambassador and Consul General of Korea, Vietnamese local departments, agencies and sectors with leaders of important Korean agencies, organizations and associations and between businesses of both sides.
Previously, on the morning of May 14, Hung Yen Provincial leaders hosted and worked with the Korean delegation led by Ambassador Choi Youngsam on the occasion of the 2025 Meeting with Korea, affirming that Hung Yen considers Korea a potential strategic partner in many fields.
