According to the report of the Department of Construction, the province currently has a total of 1,251 transport units operating in the road sector, with 6,154 road vehicles, 688 trams, 13 bus stations, 296 fixed passenger transport routes, and 5 intra-provincial bus routes. Regarding the inland waterway sector, the province has over 1,800 vehicles in operation with valid technical safety and environmental protection certificates; 38 waterway routes, 15 passenger transport routes from the shore to the islands, 21 tourist itineraries, 117 ports and 6 anchorage areas.
At the conference, representatives of enterprises focused on discussing and giving opinions on the current status of road and waterway transport activities in the area, along with the advantages and difficulties in policies and procedures of each unit and locality. From there, the units frankly proposed solutions to further promote transport activities, maximizing the province's competitive advantages in this field.
The contents under the authority have been directly answered by the leaders of the Department of Construction and directed the specialized departments and divisions of the Department to provide specific answers. The recommendations beyond the authority have been fully received and synthesized by the Department of Construction to report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Central Government for further consideration and resolution according to regulations.
On this occasion, the Department of Construction informed businesses about the current situation and requirements for the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and green transformation in the field of transportation under the direction of the Central Government and the province. At the same time, it introduced a number of models, technology solutions, and digital transformation in transportation provided by reputable units.
To meet the requirements of the task, in the coming time, the Department of Construction will increase meetings and connections with road and inland waterway transport enterprises in the province to promptly support and accompany the units to operate smoothly and effectively.
