Meet the Lang Son U11 Football Team participating in the final round of the National Children's Football Tournament

- On the evening of July 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son coordinated with the Provincial Football Federation (FF) to organize a meeting with the U11 football team participating in the final round of the Nestle Milo Cup National Children's Football Tournament in 2025.

Attending the meeting were comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Football Federation; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office; leaders of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism ; coaching staff, athletes of the Provincial U11 Football Team and parents of the athletes.

During the program, the delegates were informed by the team's coaching staff about the training process and the results of the qualifying round so far. Accordingly, the 2025 National U11 Football Tournament is organized by the Vietnam Football Federation in collaboration with the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper, with the main sponsor being Nestle Milo Company, bringing together 54 U11 teams nationwide. The qualifying round will be held from June 2 to 22 in 3 regions: Hai Phong city, Dak Lak province, Ho Chi Minh city with a total of 12 groups.

Lang Son U11 Team consists of 20 athletes, competing in Hai Phong city. The result is that Lang Son U11 Team won 2 matches, drew 1 match. With 7 points, coefficient +9, Lang Son U11 Team ranked second in group A and is one of the 3 second-place teams with the best results to participate in the final round of the tournament, held from July 22 to August 1 in Da Nang city.

Since the end of June, the whole team has been practicing intensively every afternoon to prepare for the final round of the tournament and participate in some U11 tournaments in the provinces: Hung Yen, Bac Ninh. Up to now, the whole team has completed the training program and is ready to go to the final round of the tournament.

Comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Football Federation spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised and congratulated the results that the coaching staff and athletes of the Lang Son U11 Football Team have achieved in the past time. He affirmed: Lang Son has a developed sports movement, which is the foundation for young athletes to have the opportunity to be discovered and trained. Having the opportunity to participate in the final round is a valuable opportunity for Lang Son U11 to learn and compete.

He hoped that the athletes would participate seriously, follow the instructions of the coaches and parents; encourage the athletes of the team to be calm, confident, try their best, compete with an honest and noble spirit, creating a good image of Lang Son people. He asked the coaches to closely monitor and take care of the athletes' physical condition and health; and the parents to continue to care, accompany and create the best conditions for the athletes during the tournament.
