(QNgTV) - On the morning of July 26, the Military Medical Liaison Committee during the anti-American war - Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command held a meeting to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the traditional day of Quang Ngai Provincial Military Medical Department during the anti-American war (September 2, 1965 - September 2, 2025).

At the meeting, the medical officers and soldiers of Quang Ngai who participated in the resistance war against the US recalled the years of arduous but proud fighting, contributing to the victory of the army and people of Quang Ngai, together with the whole country to create the Great Victory of Spring 1975, unifying the country.

September 2, 1965 marked an important milestone in the history of the Quang Ngai military medical sector, when the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee officially decided to transfer the units and military medical system at the front lines to the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command for direct leadership and command, and assigned the Logistics Department to manage. Since then, September 2 has become the traditional day of the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Medical Force during the period of fighting against the US to save the country.

Since its establishment, the provincial military medical force has developed strongly, closely associated with the provincial armed forces. A widespread military medical system was quickly formed, closely following the battlefield, covering the entire area, promptly treating wounded and sick soldiers.

During this period, Quang Ngai military medical staff had more than 500 officers and soldiers organized into three lines: front, middle and rear, coordinating smoothly to carry out their tasks well. In harsh and deprived conditions, the military medical staff still steadfastly held their ground, both providing treatment and ensuring the safety of the force with the spirit of serving "a doctor is like a kind mother". All three lines made efforts to overcome difficulties, contributing to the victory of liberating the province and unifying the country.

After the country’s reunification, each medical officer and soldier returned to normal life, continuing to shoulder new responsibilities in many areas of society. Regardless of their position, medical soldiers still maintain the qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers: loyalty, modesty, dedication and shining revolutionary ethics.
