On May 8, on Facebook, fashionista and content creator Harry Nista shared that he had just received the Douyin Top 1 trophy of the month. In which, his video reached more than 2.9 million likes, reaching the top of the trending chart on this platform.

At TikTok Vietnam, Harry Nista currently has nearly 900,000 followers and nearly 26 million likes.

Beauty is in the silk, luxury is in the person

Harry Nista, real name Nguyen Anh Tu, is a Vietnamese TikToker and fashionista, born in 2000 in Phu Yen, known for his genderless, creative and culturally rich Vietnamese fashion style.

He is a living proof of the saying “silk is beautiful because of people”. His genderless beauty and well-proportioned body help him turn all materials from feather dusters, mats, chicken cages, garbage bags... or even pajamas into trendy outfits, comparable to high-end brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci.

In 2023, Harry caused a stir on social media with a video of him performing in a peacock blanket outfit with world- famous TikToker Miles Moretti.

Notably, in August 2024, Harry released the photo series "The Upper Tray, the Lower Tray" with a strong message about gender equality, satirizing gender inequality in traditional Vietnamese society through concepts such as "Men light cigarettes, women light firewood" or "Men drink tea, women wash dishes".

The photo series uses traditional costumes and contrasting colors, receiving much attention for its creativity and social significance.

One of Harry's most viewed videos is "Vietnamese pajamas worthy of international standards" with nearly 11 million views.

In the video, he uses Vietnamese pajamas to recreate designs in the styles of Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Versace... just to go to a wedding with his grandmother.

Although humorous, the way of coordinating clothes, handling materials and investing in images still bears a strong professional mark, clearly demonstrating an understanding of fashion and unlimited creative thinking.

Harry's case reminds many people of the female lead Cruella in the hit movie of the same name.

His videos are made even more intimate and interesting by the unexpected presence of his homegrown cast: his mother, grandmother, father, or even the neighbor's child.

With only the familiar backdrop of old wooden cabinets, chicken coops or banana bushes, Harry still creates artistic fashion films.
