World silver price today
On the world market, the world silver price is listed at 38.31 USD/ounce; an increase of 1.2 USD compared to yesterday morning.
World silver prices continued to increase strongly in this morning's trading session, showing that the upward momentum is very stable.
“The 50% US tariff on copper has caused a lot of volatility in the market, but the long-term impact on silver supply remains to be seen,” said Przemysław Radomski, CEO of Sunshine Profits.
About 70-80% of the world's silver is a byproduct of mining other metals, he said, with copper mining playing a major role, accounting for about 20-25% of the global silver supply. "So any changes in the copper mining industry could affect the silver market," said Przemysław Radomski.
Senior market analyst Christopher Lewis said that if the uptrend continues, silver could hit $40 an ounce, as the market is consolidating and this is a familiar pattern in technical analysis.
"The current price action also suggests that this level is very likely, and there are no clear signs that would prevent it," said Christopher Lewis.
He also advocates buying silver, especially when short-term corrections can be good opportunities.
