(NLDO) – Many gold sellers were surprised when businesses bought 99.99 gold rings for millions of dong more than SJC gold bars.
On the afternoon of October 24, according to a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, the price of SJC gold bars on the free market in Hanoi has exceeded 90 million VND. An employee of a gold company reported a buying price of up to 89.4 million VND/tael, selling price of 90.4 million VND/tael, about 1.4 million VND/tael higher than the selling price of commercial banks and SJC company.
SJC Company listed the buying price of SJC gold bars at 87 million VND/tael and the selling price at 89 million VND/tael.
The price of gold rings purchased by businesses is a million VND/tael higher than that of SJC gold bars.
Meanwhile, some gold companies also pushed the buying price of 99.99 gold rings to "surpass" the price of SJC gold bars. Specifically, PNJ Company bought gold rings at 87.6 million VND/tael and sold at 88.9 million VND/tael, while Bao Tin Minh Chau Company bought at 87.88 million VND and DOJI Group bought up to 88 million VND/tael.
This is the first time in many years that the buying price of gold rings from companies is a million VND/tael higher than that of SJC gold bars. This development is quite surprising and many people said they planned to sell gold rings to make a profit when they saw that the gold price had exceeded the peak many times this year.
On investment and gold trading forums, many people said they had taken profits on SJC gold bars and 99.99 gold rings when the price approached the 90 million VND/tael mark.
On the international market, today's gold price at 3:30 p.m., Vietnam time, was traded at 2,737 USD/ounce, up about 15 USD/ounce compared to the previous session.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 84 million VND/tael.
