The coffee market recorded a simultaneous increase in prices across all major trading terms. The 09/2025 futures contract increased by 34 to 3,435, equivalent to an increase of 1.00%.
The following terms also recorded positive increases, including: 11/2025 increased by 22 (0.66%) to 3,353, 01/2026 increased by 10 (0.30%) to 3,303, 03/2026 increased by 9 (0.28%) to 3,267 and 05/2026 increased by 10 (0.31%) to 3,238.
Despite some hopes of a tariff exemption, Brazilian coffee has so far not been exempted from the 50% US tariff, raising concerns about supply disruptions and pushing up prices. The tariffs, which will take effect on August 6, have added to traders’ worries and may prompt pre-emptive buying.
New York Arabica Coffee Price August 2, 2025

Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor broke their upward trend, recording a decrease across all trading terms. The nearest term in September 2025 decreased by 2.40 cents, equivalent to 0.81%, to 293.40 cents/lb.
Subsequent maturities such as December 2025 and March 2026 also decreased by 2.10 cents (0.73%) and 2.50 cents (0.89%), respectively. Further maturities such as May 2026 and July 2026 also recorded decreases of 2.60 cents (0.94%) and 2.30 cents (0.85%), respectively.
Domestic coffee prices today August 1, 2025
Domestic coffee prices on August 2, 2025 increased sharply, current coffee prices fluctuate around 99,800 - 100,000 VND/kg.

In Dak Lak , today's coffee price is 100,000 VND/kg, an increase of 300 VND compared to yesterday.
In Lam Dong , today's coffee price is 99,800 VND/kg, an increase of 300 VND compared to yesterday.
In Gia Lai , today's coffee price is 99,800 VND/kg, an increase of 300 VND compared to yesterday.
In Dak Nong (old, now about to merge with Lam Dong), today's coffee price is 100,000 VND/kg, an increase of 300 VND compared to yesterday.

Domestic coffee prices have increased sharply, showing a positive response to developments in the world market. The consistent increase in key provinces (Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Dak Nong) further strengthens the upward trend.
Any new information regarding the possibility of a US tariff exemption for Brazilian coffee would have a huge impact. If an exemption is announced, coffee prices could fall sharply. Conversely, if tariffs are confirmed, prices could continue to rise sharply.
Despite the uptrend, coffee prices have been high for a long time. Investors can take profits at any time, causing short-term corrections.
