The Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province has just announced that coffee remains the agricultural product with the highest export value and is the second largest contributor to the province's key export products.

2024 is predicted to be a year full of surprises for the coffee industry. In April, coffee prices hit a record high of over $4,100 across all maturities, then fluctuated continuously and set many new peaks. Notably, Robusta coffee prices repeatedly surpassed Arabica coffee prices, a phenomenon unprecedented before. The surge in coffee prices helped boost export value despite a decrease in production.

In 2024, businesses in Lam Dong directly exported 67,509 tons of green coffee beans, achieving a value of up to US$226.16 million. Compared to 2023, export volume decreased by 25.02%, but export value increased by 10.33%.

Lam Dong coffee has a very diverse market, being exported to all continents, with EU countries being the main market. Switzerland has consistently topped the list of coffee exporters from Lam Dong for many years, with a considerable lead over other markets.

Atlantic Vietnam Trading Company Limited (ACOM) is currently the largest direct coffee exporter from Lam Dong province. In addition, several other companies such as Intimex Bao Loc Joint Stock Company, Golden Coffee Joint Stock Company, Ho Phuong Company Limited, and Nhu Tung Company Limited also contribute significantly to the coffee export value of Lam Dong province.
