Coffee price forecast for December 13, 2024

According to forecasts, world coffee prices on December 13, 2024 will continue to fall on the Robusta exchange in London, Arabica exchange in New York, and Arabica exchange in Brazil. Domestic coffee prices are also predicted to decrease slightly, fluctuating between 500-800 VND/kg.

Experts believe the main reason for this price drop is that the coffee harvest in the Central Highlands provinces is currently in full swing. In addition, bad weather, transportation disruptions, and a tightening legal environment in many countries are also contributing to fluctuations in world coffee prices.

Speaking to reporters, Ms. Tran Thi Huong, a long-time coffee buyer in Bao Loc City, Lam Dong Province, said: “As of 4:00 PM on December 12, 2024, the coffee purchase price in Bao Loc City market was 122,500 VND/kg. It is predicted that the coffee price on December 13, 2024 will continue to fall for the second consecutive day, decreasing by approximately 500-1,000 VND/kg. The main reasons are farmers selling to take profits, along with the fact that the Central Highlands provinces are entering the peak coffee harvest season, leading to increased coffee production.”
