Domestic coffee prices updated on November 18, 2024 |
Arabica coffee prices ended the week at a high level. The increase was mainly supported by the continued dry weather in Brazil and recent bad weather that slowed harvesting in the Central Highlands provinces of Vietnam.
Many coffee farmers in the Central Highlands said that the current purchase price of fresh coffee is around 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg, which is the highest price ever. With this price, coffee growers will earn a profit of 50 - 70% after deducting costs for care, fertilizer, etc. Therefore, as it is the new harvest season, coffee growers in Vietnam are very happy and excited.
According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), Vietnam's coffee harvest season is mainly from early November to late December. This is the time when most countries have no harvest or very little yield. This is also a great opportunity to attract world customers to choose Vietnamese Robusta coffee.
Although Vietnam's main crop production will increase and prices may fluctuate, Vietnamese coffee has certain advantages to expect better prices than previous years.
Meanwhile, many coffee exporters said that the current price of coffee in Vietnam is very expensive, partly due to the role of farmers in "price regulation". That is, it is harvest season but farmers are not selling in large quantities, so the supply is limited and the price of coffee is supported.
According to traders' predictions, the new week's coffee prices in the world and domestically will continue to remain high and increase slightly.
