The family of the female tycoon increased the purchase of ACB shares, increasing the ownership ratio.

Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( ACB ) has just updated the list of shareholders owning 1% or more of charter capital. Accordingly, two shareholders Nguyen Thien Huong Jenny and Nguyen Duc Hieu Johnny have just increased the number of ACB shares compared to September last year.

Specifically, Ms. Nguyen Thien Huong Jenny increased from more than 60.01 million ACB shares (equivalent to 1.344%) to more than 63.23 million shares (1.416%).

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hieu Johnny increased from more than 47.73 million shares (1.069%) to more than 51.01 million shares (1.142%).

Thus, the two children of Ms. Ngo Thu Thuy - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Au Lac Joint Stock Company - have increased their ownership ratio at ACB to a total of 2.558% of charter capital.

In the list of shareholders announced by ACB in October 2024, Thien Huong InternationalEducation Village JSC also holds nearly 58.6 million ACB shares, equivalent to 1.3% of capital. Meanwhile, people related to this institutional shareholder hold more than 107.7 million shares, equivalent to 2.4% of ACB capital.

Thien Huong International Education Village Joint Stock Company is a company chaired and legally represented by Ms. Ngo Thu Thuy. However, this businesswoman is better known as the chairwoman of Au Lac Joint Stock Company.

Thus, all three shareholders directly related to the female chairwoman of Au Lac have increased their holding ratio from more than 3.7% to nearly 3.87% of ACB's charter capital.

It is estimated that according to the current market price of ACB shares, the shares owned by this group of shareholders are worth more than VND 4,079 billion. Not including the shares of people related to this group of shareholders.

About Au Lac, this company operates in the business of inland waterway, coastal and ocean fuel transportation, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City.

The balance sheet in the consolidated financial report for the first quarter of 2025 shows that Au Lac has total assets of VND 2,189 billion, with a downward trend compared to the end of 2024.

Regarding business performance, Au Lac had not very positive results in the first quarter of this year when both revenue and profit decreased. Of which, revenue reached 292 billion VND, down nearly 22% compared to the first quarter of 2024. Profit after tax reached 47.3 billion VND, down 35%.

As for ACB, this is one of the largest private joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam, holding total assets of more than VND 891,600 billion, with more than 13,200 employees.

In the first quarter of this year, ACB recorded net interest income of VND6,358 billion, down 5% compared to the same period last year. This affected net profit, which decreased by nearly 6% to VND3,678 billion.
