Retail gas prices remain unchanged, gasoline and oil price adjustment period moved to May 5

This is the second consecutive time that domestic retail gas prices have remained unchanged. Currently, the prices of common gas types range from 466,000 to 489,000 VND/12kg cylinder depending on the brand. Since the beginning of 2025, domestic retail gas prices have decreased twice (January and March), increased once (February), and remained unchanged twice (April and May).

Meanwhile, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) has announced an adjustment to the gasoline price management schedule when the adjustment cycle according to regulations of 7 days/time falls on the holidays of April 30 and May 1.

Specifically, according to current regulations, domestic gasoline and oil prices are regulated every 7 days, every Thursday. Previously, at the end of April, gasoline and oil prices were adjusted on April 24, the next gasoline and oil price adjustment was on May 1. However, Thursday, May 1, is the International Labor Day holiday. Therefore, the next gasoline and oil price adjustment will be carried out on Monday, May 5 (the first working day after the holiday).
