Comments on the Japanese Yen exchange rate situation December 13, 2024

1. Exchange rate fluctuations between banks

The Japanese Yen exchange rate between banks has a quite clear difference, especially between the buying and selling rates. For example, at Vietcombank, the buying rate of Japanese Yen is 161.13 VND/JPY, but the selling rate is up to 170.50 VND/JPY, showing a relatively large difference between the buying and selling prices at this bank. On the contrary, at BIDV, the buying rate is lower (161.64 VND/JPY) and the selling rate is also lower (169.43 VND/JPY), helping customers to get a better selling rate at BIDV than at Vietcombank.

2. Slight downward trend

Most banks tend to reduce prices in both buying and selling directions compared to previous days, although the decrease is not too strong. Specifically, banks such as BIDV, Eximbank, Techcombank, Sacombank, HSBC all recorded a decrease of 0.19 to 0.64 VND in both directions. This shows the stability of the Japanese Yen exchange rate in recent times, despite a slight adjustment.

3. Eximbank has the highest buying rate

According to the survey, Eximbank currently has the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen (163.55 VND/JPY). This may attract customers who want to buy Japanese Yen, but at the same time, Eximbank's selling rate (169.44 VND/JPY) is not the lowest among the banks. However, in general, Eximbank's highest buying rate still helps customers get good value when buying Japanese Yen here.

4. BIDV has the lowest selling rate

BIDV is the bank with the lowest selling rate, only 169.43 VND/JPY. This can bring an advantage to those who need to sell Japanese Yen. The difference between buying and selling rates at BIDV is also relatively reasonable, creating convenience for customers to transact.

5. Differences between banks

Although the exchange rates between banks vary, they are not too large. Banks such as Vietinbank, Agribank, and Sacombank all have quite similar buying and selling prices, ranging from 162 VND/JPY to 163 VND/JPY. This shows the stability and low volatility of the Japanese Yen exchange rate in these banks.

Conclude

The Japanese Yen exchange rate on December 13, 2024 showed slight stability with not too large adjustments between banks. Eximbank is leading with the highest buying rate, while BIDV has the lowest selling rate, creating favorable conditions for customers who need to trade with Japanese Yen.
