Other localities in the region continue to keep live pig prices in the range of 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

In other localities in the region, the purchase price of live pigs ranges from 73,000 - 76,000 VND/kg.
News, forecast of live pig price in
It is forecasted that next week, if consumption demand maintains positive growth momentum, pork prices in some northern and central provinces will likely increase slightly.
On May 30, Ha Tinh Provincial Police announced that at around 11:00 a.m. on May 28, while patrolling in Ky Anh district, the Economic, Corruption and Environmental Crime Investigation Police force discovered a truck with license plate 37H-02439 driven by Le Xuan Phu (born in 1990, residing in Thuong Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province), carrying a large quantity of pigs with signs of suspected disease. The functional forces coordinated to inspect the vehicle.
The inspection results showed that the vehicle was carrying 180 pigs, weighing about 18 tons. However, the driver could not provide quarantine papers or documents proving the origin of the pigs.
The authorities took samples for testing and sent them to the Veterinary Department of Region III. The results confirmed that the pigs were infected with the virus that causes African swine fever.
Currently, the Police Department of Investigation of Crimes on Corruption, Economy, Smuggling and Environment under Ha Tinh Provincial Police is completing the dossier to handle the case in accordance with legal regulations.
