Pig prices today in the North turned to increase in many localities
Today's live pig price in the Northern region recorded an increase of 1,000 VND/kg in many provinces and cities, currently trading at 61,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, pig prices in Bac Ninh, Hanoi and Hung Yen all increased by VND1,000/kg, currently trading at VND63,000/kg. At the same time, localities such as Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh and Phu Tho also recorded an increase of VND1,000/kg, currently purchasing live pigs at VND62,000/kg.
Meanwhile, localities such as Cao Bang , Lang Son, Quang Ninh and Lao Cai recorded new fluctuations, currently anchored at 61,000 VND/kg. Only Son La, Lai Chau and Dien Bien maintained the lowest level in the region at 60,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous day.

In Quang Tri and Gia Lai, pork prices remained at VND58,000/kg, while in Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa, they remained at VND60,000/kg. Lam Dong is still the locality with the highest price in the region at VND63,000/kg.

Today's live pig price in the Southern region recorded a downward trend in some localities, in which the sharpest decrease was 2,000 VND/kg, currently trading around 61,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, the price of pork in Ca Mau decreased by 2,000 VND/kg, down to 62,000 VND/kg. An Giang and Vinh Long also decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, down to 62,000 VND/kg and 61,000 VND/kg, respectively.
Meanwhile, many localities still maintain the same price such as Dong Nai at 63,000 VND/kg, Tay Ninh at 64,000 VND/kg - the highest level in the region. Dong Thap, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho maintain the prices at 62,000 VND/kg and 63,000 VND/kg respectively.

Vietnam becomes host country of World Pig Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Conference
According to the Agriculture and Environment newspaper, for the first time, Vietnam will host the 28th World Pig Veterinary Conference - IPVS 2026. The conference will take place in Ho Chi Minh City.
Attending the 2nd Funding Conference towards IPVS 2026 held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry were scientists, representatives of specialized agencies, international organizations, businesses and experts in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, emphasized: The conference aims to update the progress of the organization, announce the key contents of IPVS 2026 and call for support from the domestic and international business community. At the same time, businesses can also directly exchange with the Organizing Committee about sponsorship packages, exhibition activities, communications and technical support.
Hosting IPVS 2026 is also an important milestone towards the 70th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, affirming the school's academic role and capacity to organize international events.
