The report said that after the press reported on the current status of some Cham tower relics in the province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism established a relic inspection team to conduct research on relevant documents, consult with some people knowledgeable about Cham tower relics and check the current status of Cham tower management in Gia Lai province.
Gia Lai strengthens the management, protection and promotion of the value of Cham tower relics in the province.
Regarding the status of writing and engraving on the towers, there are 3 relics that have been written and engraved on the towers. At the above Cham towers, the remaining traces are mainly on restored bricks through the times of anti-deterioration, restoration and embellishment; the writing and engraving are mainly the names of people. Some people knowledgeable about Cham tower relics in the province believe that these traces have been there for a long time, mainly tourists who want to leave memories when visiting the relics...
With the above situation, in recent years, security guards at the relics have regularly collected bat droppings and cleaned the environment. However, the situation of bats living in Cham towers has not been thoroughly handled, affecting the landscape, environment of the relics and the activities of tourists.
In order to implement the management, protection and promotion of the value of Cham tower relics in the province in the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai directed the Provincial Museum to implement a number of necessary solutions.
Regarding the situation of writing, drawing and carving marks on the towers, add more rules and warning signs to limit the negative impact of tourists on the relics; Regularly monitor the camera system to observe comprehensively, promptly detect acts of encroachment on the relics; at the same time promptly handle acts of intentional encroachment on the relics; Consult with experts on relic conservation and ask for the opinion of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on erasing and removing traces left on the towers.
For the situation of bats roosting and defecating inside the tower, regularly clean and collect bat droppings, deodorize and disinfect the area inside the tower; Continue to use high-pressure lamps to light up the towers where bats roost; Research solutions to put nets inside the towers to prevent bats from flying in to roost.
