At the same time, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC at 115.8-118.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell), a decrease of 700 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 116.3-118.3 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the gold price decreased by 700 thousand VND/tael for buying and 200 thousand VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 113.8-116.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell); down 900 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.

World gold price today May 27, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 p.m. today, Vietnam time, was 3,298.5 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 35.84 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,100 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 107.67 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 10.39 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
World gold prices fell slightly as the US dollar rebounded after a previous weakness. Meanwhile, concerns about the US fiscal situation and the market waiting for important economic data made investors more cautious about future interest rate trends.
Specifically, spot gold prices fell 1.07% to below the psychological level of $3,300/ounce. Gold markets in the US and London were closed on Monday due to a holiday. US gold futures also fell 1.2% to $3,325.7/ounce.
According to Kelvin Wong, senior market analyst for Asia Pacific at OANDA, gold prices are currently in a correction phase. The market is taking a break and waiting for new factors to determine the next direction. However, investors are still concerned about the increasing budget deficit in the US, which is a factor supporting gold prices and at the same time weakening the USD.
The dollar index (.DXY) edged up against a basket of currencies after hitting a near one-month low in the previous session, making gold more expensive for investors using other currencies.
Last week, the US House of Representatives passed a version of former President Donald Trump's tax cut bill that is expected to add about $3.8 trillion to the current $36.2 trillion national debt over the next decade.
In addition, Mr. Trump also temporarily withdrew the proposal to impose a 50% tax on imported goods from the European Union (EU), and extended the negotiation period until July 9 so that the two sides can reach an agreement.
Investors will be looking to comments from several Federal Reserve officials and the core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index, due out Friday, for clues on the path of interest rates this week, with the market widely expecting the Fed to cut rates in September.
Besides gold, silver prices fell 0.7% to $33.12 an ounce, platinum fell 0.6% to $1,078.68 and palladium lost 0.8% to $979.50.
