The price of SJC gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited, DOJI Group at 119.3-121.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell), the price remained unchanged in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed at 118.1-121 million VND/tael (buy - sell), the price increased by 100,000 VND/tael for buying and unchanged for selling, compared to the closing price of yesterday's trading session.
At PNJ, the price of gold bars is listed at 118.5-121.3 million VND/tael (buy-sell), down 800,000 VND/tael for buying and unchanged for selling compared to the previous trading session.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 118-119.5 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the gold price increased by 2 million VND/tael for buying and 1 million VND/tael for selling.

World gold price today 05/03/2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 3,227.87 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.55% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,416 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 102.8 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 18.5 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices edged up slightly and were headed for a second straight weekly loss. Spot gold fell 0.2% to $3,233.30 an ounce at 11:50 a.m. ET (1550 GMT). Prices have fallen 2.6% for the week, after hitting a record high of $3,500.05 on April 22. Prices hit their lowest since April 14. U.S. gold futures rose 0.6% to $3,241.70.
“Gold prices look like $3,500 could be a top for a while, especially if some trade deals start to come through and risk appetite starts to overcome the negative euphoria we’ve seen since the tariff talks,” said Daniel Pavilonis, senior market strategist at RJO Futures.
Data showed nonfarm payrolls increased by 177,000 jobs last month. A Reuters poll forecast an increase of 130,000 jobs.
However, the report is a retrospective one and it is too early for the labor market to see the impact of President Donald Trump’s erratic tariff policies. Traders have reduced expectations that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates as early as June after the jobs report.
The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note rose. Higher interest rates typically make non-yielding bullion less attractive to investors.
“With safe-haven demand weakening, gold prices could fall further and potentially break support near the $3,200 region this week,” said Fawad Razaqzada, market analyst at City Index and FOREX.com.
Spot silver fell 1.2% to $32.01 an ounce, platinum fell 0.2% to $958.70 and palladium rose 0.5% to $945.25. All three metals were on track for weekly losses.
