Gold prices continue to rise to a historical high of 111 million VND/ounce.

After a sharp increase in the early morning of April 16, domestic gold prices continued to rise by 1.2-2.6 million VND/ounce, reaching a historical peak of 111 million VND/ounce.

This is due to the continued rise in international gold prices and increased domestic demand for gold. Around 11 am, the world gold price was trading at $3,277 per ounce, an increase of over $30 per ounce compared to early that morning.

In the domestic market, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company listed the price of gold rings at 108 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 110.5 million VND/ounce (selling price), an increase of 3.3 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 2.6 million VND/ounce (selling price) compared to the beginning of the morning.

Notably, Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd. raised the price to 111 million VND/ounce, with transactions at 108.3 million VND/ounce (buying) - 111 million VND/ounce (selling), an increase of 1.8 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 1.5 million VND/ounce (selling price).

Saigon Jewelry Joint Stock Company raised the price to 108 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 110.5 million VND/ounce (selling price).

The price of SJC gold bars also continued to rise sharply, reaching 108.5 million VND/ounce (buying price) - 111 million VND/ounce (selling price), higher than at the beginning of the day by 1.7 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 1.2 million VND/ounce (selling price).

Thus, the price of gold rings has become equal to that of SJC gold bars. The common buy-sell price spread set by businesses is 2.5-2.6 million VND/ounce.

Early this morning, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 1.3 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 1.8 million VND/ounce (selling price); gold rings also rose by 1.9-2.8 million VND/ounce.

With the above developments, compared to the end of yesterday, the price of gold rings increased by 3 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling directions; the price of gold rings increased by 4.3-5.3 million VND/ounce (buying direction) and 4.3-4.5 million VND/ounce (selling direction).
